You may have or soon be receiving a letter.
Summary: Code 1 is essential, code 2 replaces someone essential in the event of their absence, code 3 is called in only in the event of a major crisis. (Letters may say code 2/3)
If you are deemed essential, it doesn’t impact your vote or your support. It just means you wouldn’t be on the actual picket line during work hours if we do take strike action.
(You would continue to work, get regular pay)

Rise for Equity: Working Together for a Better Tomorrow OCTOBER 19 – 23, 2023 (MONTRÉAL, QUE)
| During the conferences, delegates will continue the important work of advancing equity and human rights for members across the country and improving workplace conditions for all members to thrive. We are hosting four equity conferences: Racially Visible Persons ConferenceAccess ConferencePride ConferenceIndigenous Peoples Conference Delegates are eligible to participate in workshops, debates on resolutions and the elections for any of the equity groups where they self-identify. The application deadline for delegate or observer status, and to submit resolutions is Friday, April 14 at 5:00 p.m. EDT. If you are selected as a delegate to these conferences, you will be advised by email by the end of June 2023. Delegates are selected by their respective PSAC components and regions, with priority given to union leaders and activists on human rights issues. Change in CEIU Ontario Townhall on Return to Office
Good afternoon CEIU members,
Upon further reflection we are going to reschedule the CEIU Ontario Townhall on RTO booked for tomorrow evening.
It is International Women’s Day and there are already many events happening throughout the day to celebrate IWD. In addition, many of you, our members, may already be participating in IWD events in your community in the evening. We felt it was best to move this event to a different evening to avoid asking our members to choose between these two important activities. More information to follow in the next few days on the new date/time for our Townhall.

The Front End Outreach Committee is pleased to invite you for our virtual region wide meeting on March 7, 2023, 7:00-8:30 PM using the ZOOM platform.
This meeting is to share some updates and it is an opportunity to keep you engaged and to share your concerns regarding Front End/Outreach issues.
We have been holding these types of meetings since early 2020 and feel them to be constructive and informative, we hope you do too.
We have some specific topics we would like to focus on during this meeting.

3- Updating contact list for member engagement
4- Bargaining Update from JR Legault if the PSAC Bargaining Team.

Callout for FNMI Members Representative
Good afternoon Ontario Members,
Please find attached the call out for the Indigenous Members Representative position on ORC.
As per the resolution, and subsequent extension, we have until March 31st to complete the elections. Timeline as follows:
Nomination Period: March 1 to 15, 2023
Election Period: March 21 to 23, 2023
Successful Candidate Announcement: March 29, 2023
Once all nominations have been received, candidates will be contacted to provide a 300-word resume that will be included in the ballot details.
Voting will be conducted via Survey Monkey by the admin staff at the National Office. Each member will be provided a unique link that can only be used once and only by the email to which it was sent.
Once the voting period is closed and the ballots are counted, admin staff will let us know the results and an announcement will be issued.
