Register now: CEIU National Town Halls
Nationwide strike votes are coming up for you and thousands of federal public service workers.
Most of you are part of the PA Group, the largest union bargaining group in Canada, with some 110,000 members.
You are also part of Canada Employment and Immigration Union (CEIU), which makes up some 35 per cent of the PA Group.
Together, we are a powerful force. What we do matters. It matters for you, your wages, and your working conditions.
That’s why we want to connect with you at our virtual CEIU National Town Halls.
Please register to one of these town halls below.
CEIU was also placed into trusteeship this September 2026. Trusteeship is enacted by PSAC to help rebuild CEIU capacity so that we can fulfill our mandate to you, our members. Our FAQsexplain why this measure was taken, and we will answer your questions on bargaining and trusteeship during our town halls.

What’s at stake?
- Treasury Board have tabled one of the worst wage proposals in recent federal public service history, with increases that amount to less than 1% per year. On a typical $79,511 salary, that averages a raise of less than $30 per paycheque. Let’s call it what it is: a pay cut during a cost-of-living crisis.
- Recent private sector settlements averaged around 4% per year, and Parliamentarians receive annual raises tied to those same economic conditions. Public service workers deserve that same basic standard.
- The employer wants to weaken job security protections at the exact moment they’ve issued nearly 15,000 workforce adjustment notices to members like you.
- Treasury Board refuse to negotiate remote work language while rushing through an arbitrary four-day in-office policy in the middle of a statutory freeze.
- They are ignoring our requests for proper training and guardrails around artificial intelligence in the workplace while pushing ahead with a $2 billion national AI strategy.
We look forward to seeing you at one of our upcoming town halls.
