Support Universal Pharmacare
Pharmacare
It would actually save money – buying in bulk. Also, proactively looking after people saves money on long term health care.
The majority of Canadians support this. It’s one way to help bridge the income equality gap and save people without drug coverage to have to choose between prescriptions they need and other necessities.

CANADIAN LABOUR CONGRESS (CLC) – NATIONAL LOBBY DAY, OTTAWA
Met with Julie Dabrusin, Liberal MP from Toronto-Danforth and Lindsay Mathyssen from London-Fanshawe, with teams of activists from various unions
Almost 400 union activists came to Ottawa to lobby MP’S and Senators for:
A single payer, universal pharmacare program for all, better protection for workers’ pensions (particularly in cases where their employer files for bankruptcy), the reintroduction of a federal minimum wage at $15 to lead the way for provinces to follow suit and encouraging our government to be one of the first to sign on to ILO Convention 190 which works towards setting a global standard for the elimination of harassment and violence in the world of work on an international level.
