Good day,

Your 2024 CEIU Ontario Regional Health, Safety & Security Committee is holding a Town Hall on March 4, 5 and 6, 2024 to introduce the committee members and provide an informal update. Our goal is to build a new network amongst ourselves that will support, share, and develop our knowledge. We will also be highlighting a few upcoming events you may be interested in

Each District is slotted for a specific date. Please see the attached invite for details and register your attendance here: https://forms.office.com/r/Vi1KGc0sF7 by Thursday February 29, 2024. Please note that if you are unable to attend your districts designated date that you are welcome to attend another session.

If you have any general questions or concerns you would like answered or addressed during the townhall, we encourage you to submit them via the registration link in advance so we can research the answer for everyone’s benefit. Please note that we will not be able to get into specific cases and will take those situations offline for discussions in the days following the Town Halls.

Ontario Regional Council By-Elections

Greetings:

As a result of recent vacancies on Ontario Regional Council, we are holding a by-elections in accordance with the PSAC Ontario By-laws, for the following vacant positions:
DCL Academic Sector Workers Representative
Alternate DCL Academic Sector Workers Representative
1st Alternate Region 2, Northeastern Ontario Representative
2nd Alternate Region 2, Northeastern Ontario Representative
Young Worker’s Representative
Alternate Young Worker’s Representative

To be eligible, the nominees must:

Be a PSAC member in good standing from the Ontario Region (encompassing the Province of Ontario exclusive of the National Capital Region); and,
All nominations must include a seconder, the nominator and seconder must have been a delegate at the June 2023 Ontario Regional Triennial Convention.
Live and work in the Ontario Region

Nominations must be received no later than Friday, March 1st, 2024 at 11:59pm est.

Nominations for the position should be submitted to the office of the REVP, by e-mail to reidc@psac-afpc.com.

A one-page (maximum) bio must be included in the balloting package.

Please Note: If an election is necessary, only those delegates that were entitled to vote for this position at the June 2023 Ontario Regional Triennial Convention and are still members in good standing shall be eligible to vote.
