Telephone Town Halls – The Vote on a Proposed New National Governance Structure for CEIU
Chris Aylward, National Executive Vice-President of the Public Service Alliance of Canada invites members of the Canada Employment and Immigration Union to join him on Monday, October 17 and Tuesday October 18 for a telephone town hall (TTH). This is an opportunity for members to hear about important changes that will be proposed for CEIU.
Dial up information will be provided by automated call the week day before the TTH and again the day of the TTH. Please take note of the contact information when you receive the call as well as the scheduled time of your TTH.
Three telephone town halls are scheduled for next week. On Monday October 17 there will be two town halls in English, one for our members in Eastern Canada and one for the West and North. A telephone town hall in French is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18.

Have you received your secret ballot yet?
The election of the two delegates your local 581 is entitled to send to the CEIU National Convention is being held by secret mail in ballot.
You should have received your secret ballot by mail at your home address by now. If you have not, please let Sandy Snider or Sue Courchaine know as soon as possible, and prior to this Friday October 7th, to ensure a secret ballot is mailed to you in time for your vote to be registered.
All ballots must be returned by mail to the CEIU National Office by no latter than 4:00pm on Friday October 14th, 2016.

The 14th National Convention of the CEIU will be held in Gatineau, QC from February 6 to 9, 2017.
