On behalf of the CEIU Ontario Regional Council, The Ontario Regional Women’s Committee and the NVP for Women’s Issues, Western Region, we are pleased to present the first annual CEIU CLC Women’s Summer School Scholarship.

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide funding in the amount of $1000 to one CEIU Ontario member who identifies as a woman to attend the CLC Women’s Summer School which will be held in Cornwall, ON from July 15 to July 20, 2018.

Please note that the deadline for submission is June 7th, 2018, 4:00pm.

The successful recipient will be notified no later than June 12th 2018. Please note that the $1000 will not cover all of the expenses therefore you would have to obtain other funding elsewhere. Also, it would be your responsibility to register yourself for the Summer School.

We had elections for some positions and the results are as follows:

MELISSA BOUCHER is now 1st (London) VP

TRACEY FRANK is now 2ND (satellite offices) VP

NATHAN HALEY reaffirmed as 3RD (IRCC ) VP

STACEY DUFFIELD is our new secretary.

CAROLYN BARHAM is our new chief steward.

Scott McIntosh and Sadia Naz are also newly elected stewards.

We will be looking to show some support for our bargaining team at the end of May, as the first scheduled talk with the employer is that week.
