Elgin/Middlesex United Way Labour Appreciation Awards

This year’s Elgin/Middlesex United Way Labour Appreciation Awards theme is Labour of Love – and while we can’t be together in person, we can come together virtually to celebrate the work of our Labour Appreciation Award Winners. This year we are recognizing those that stepped up during the pandemic. These hardworking activists tackled tough issues in the face of COVID-19 to help our neighbours in need. A special virtual presentation on Jan 21st, including live music, will highlight and celebrate this year’s Labour Appreciation Award Winners in a most unique way.   Although the awards ceremony will look different this year we are still going to ensure your members are recognized for the work they do for our community. Please see the nomination form attached. This year we are recognizing activists that stepped up during the crisis, even if they have been recognized before. We want to recognize those individuals or teams of front line workers who really stepped up during this unprecedented time. The award event will be aired Virtually on Jan 21, 2021 at 7pm.  It will be a night of live music, celebration and appreciation. I hope that you will again support the event and community with your sponsorship of this event. Although the cost of the event will be reduced the need in our community is at an all-time high.
